What does AedifAI do?
AedifAI runs full AI analysis on schematic sets: full review, intelligent code and compliance mapping, and multi-discipline checks across structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and security, all in parallel instead of one discipline at a time.

What file formats are supported?
PDF schematic sets today, with BIM/DWG/IFC on the roadmap.
Does my schematic data get sent to the cloud?
It depends on your deployment. By default, AedifAI uses a cloud AI provider to analyze page images, so those images do leave your network during analysis. If schematics can't leave your environment at all, our air-gapped deployment lets you point analysis at your own on-network AI endpoint instead, no third-party AI provider involved.
What deployment models are available?
Hosted (shared projects and review history for teams), Air-gapped (your own AI endpoint, nothing reaches a third-party provider), and Hybrid (no shared backend, project data stays local via OPFS and IndexedDB). See our Security & Trust page for details.
What codes and standards does it check against?
Discipline-specific checks including IBC, structural deflection limits (ACI, L/360), HVAC load calculations (Manual J, ASHRAE 62.1), and plumbing pipe sizing (IPC/UPC).
How is this different from one engineer reviewing the set?
A single reviewer works through disciplines and pages in sequence. AedifAI runs every discipline in parallel and correlates findings across pages, surfacing cross-discipline conflicts, like a duct run clashing with a structural member, that a single-page, single-discipline pass would miss.
